Megafront adds Alias products!

Megafront is happy to announce that we are now making a return with the Autodesk Alias industrial design products, adding them next to our portfolio of digital entertainment creation products. The Alias products include Alias Design, Alias Surface and Alias Automotive.

With this move we also welcome David Enebrand to our technical sales team. He has 15 years of experience with the Alias products and he will be our front man for this area together with our sales and support team.

Nuke 6.0 and NukeX 6.0 released

Nuke 6.0 has been released! And with this major version upgrade The Foundry also landed with an even more advanced version called NukeX. New features with NukeX includes:

  • integrated 3D camera tracker
  • depth generator
  • tools for automatic lens distortion correction
  • FurnaceCore

Nuke 6.0 incorporates a completely new shape rotoscope and paint toolset based on a rewritten core curve library and new RotoPaint node. This release introduces a flexible, non-destructive, layer based paint hierarchy integrated with Nuke's animation and tracking capabilities and supporting per-object attributes such as blending modes and motion blur.

The Foundry's highly acclaimed Keylight keyer is now a standard feature included with Nuke 6.0.

RenderMan Studio 2.0 released

RenderMan Studio 2.0 is now available! It now supports Maya 2009 and it includes the following upgraded software:

Mac OS X 10.5 and Windows Vista are now supported platforms, in addition to Linux and Windows XP.
